The Coca-Cola recruitment webpage is designed to direct traffic, funneling visitors to interior pages that better match their needs. Because of this, the brand mythos Coca-Cola adopts on the top-level page is a bit generic; besides a few bits of creative branding, the content on the page could belong to any corporation. This strategy invites visitors to fill in gaps with their preconceived notions of corporations. Corporate stereotypes often degrade potential employee perceptions; in this case, Coca-Cola is able to borrow credibility from these stereotypes, directing visitors' attention away from personal experience with vending machines and soda bottles.
